EtNatural – The naturalistic Tour by car

A natural full immersion in the stunning Etna Coast. 4 days / 3 nights itinerary.

1st day: Catania

After breakfast at the hotel, you will discover the fish market of Catania, as known as “Piscaria”: it’s a real folk place that reveals the essence of Sicily, made up of sounds, flavours and colours.
Via Crociferi, Baroque jewel of the fifteenth century, movie set and Unesco World Heritage, is an unmissable stop in the city tour. Then Sant’Agata Cathedral and the “Liotro”, or city’s emblem, watching over Piazza Duomo, from where Via Etnea begins, the more famous and larger Catania’s street.
After visiting the Baroque city centre, you will discover totally different eras; the dazzling Cyclops Riviera, in fact, is the location of mythological legends and Realism novels.
Do not forget to enjoy a delicious seafood dinner in one of the characteristic restaurants on the sea platforms in Capomulini, a popular sea village, near Acireale.

2nd day: Etna

The EtNatural route can not miss a visit to Mount Etna. The volcano, as known as Mongibello or Hephaestus’ forge, will charm you with its lunar landscapes and thinned clouds, from where you can see the entire view of the coast.
You can admire the wonders of Etna in a dual mode; by cable car or with an adventurous and exciting jeep tour, in order to appreciate slopes and breathtaking views from the highest volcano in Europe.
If you want to visit Etna from another point of view, EtNatural offers a visit to the lovely Etna villages, characterized by a thriving wine business.
Castiglione di Sicilia, with a beautiful walk through the Passopisciaro and Solicchiata vineyards, or relaxing walks in the pretty villages of Linguaglossa, Zafferana and Nicolosi, famous for their traditional crafts and cookery.

3rd day: Taormina

The third day is dedicated to Taormina, the Pearl of Ionian Sea.
This city, a popular holiday destination for the Grand Tour writers, today is a well-known tourist destination and also a requested set for movies and events. Taormina is characterized by beautiful beaches, the dazzling Isola Bella, alleys full of bars and shops, museums, the Greek Theatre, Palazzo Corvaja and a privileged view of the Naxos Bay.
The itinerary will delight you with its views and it will leave an indelible memory of this tour of eastern Sicily.

4th day: Alcantara Gorges

In its last day EtNatural brings you into the Sicilian canyon, the Alcantara Gorges (Gole dell’Alcantara).
You can descend by walk or lift, admiring beautiful gorges that Alcantara river has dug into the Mojo volcanic crater of. The Gorge shows a really wild landscape, with vertical or curved basalt prisms.
You can choose to visit this site in several ways: in addition to the usual walk, there are also many activities such as body rafting or canyoning.
